Team Prizes & Incentives

Raise $25k as a team

Teams that achieve the minimum $25,000 fundraising goal will unlock their attendance at Draft Night (Fri, Oct 17 at the Westin Bayshore Vancouver) and their right to select an NHL Alumni onto their roster for the weekend. Due to high demand, teams that do not reach the minimum fundraising goal may not be invited to participate in future CAN Pro-Am tournaments. 

Teams that do not reach the min. fundraising goal in a given year may still participate in the tournament that year, but they will not be able to attend Draft Night or have an NHL Alumni join their roster, and they may not be invited back to participate in future tournaments. Draft Dollars do not count towards the minimum $25,000 fundraising goal.

Team Draft Rankings

No draft lottery here. At the CAN Pro-Am, teams earn their draft rankings!

Draft Night will be held on Friday, October 17 at the Westin Bayshore Vancouver. Teams will select NHL Alumni in the order of the final fundraising standings.

Ie. The top fundraising team will draft first overall, the second top fundraising team will draft second overall, etc.

Individual Prizes

Top 20 Fundraising Players & 2 Fundraising Goalies

  • Invitation to the CAN Pro-Am All-Star Reception: Exclusive pre-Draft Night event featuring all participating NHL Alumni.
  • Roster spot* in the CAN Pro-Am All-Star Game: Annual tournament finale featuring 6-8 NHL Alumni on each team
  • Additional CAN Pro-Am All-Star jersey

*Non-playing participants ie. coaches & managers who fall within the top 22 fundraisers will have the opportunity to be in the dressing room and on the bench for the All-Star Game.

2025 Important Dates

Make sure you don't miss out on any key deadlines or opportunities.

Registration & Fundraising Opens: Thursday, April 17

Registration open by invite only.

Following an invitation, Captains must first set up or register their teams, and then their teammates can start registering as well. Team registration is password protected - consult your captain.

If space remains, we will reach out to waitlisted individuals and teams.

Minimum Roster Deadline: Monday, July 14

Teams must have a minimum of 10 individuals on their roster (can include non-playing members).

After the deadline, we will begin offering roster positions to waitlisted players.

Team Jersey Selection Deadline: Monday, July 14

Captains will be asked to submit their team jersey colour/pattern selections just like last year.

In the event of a colour choice conflict, priority will go to the team who fundraised more in 2024.

Personalized Jersey Deadline: Monday, July 21

Players will be required to register within a certain period in order to receive their last name, preferred number and preferred size for their jersey.

Players who register after this deadline will receive a jersey with "CAN Pro-Am" on the nameplate and a pre-determined number on the back. Jersey sizing cannot be guaranteed, but a range of sizes will be ordered.

Online Auction: Early-September to  Wednesday, October 15, 9pm (PST)

Tournament participants can donate items to the CAN Pro-Am Online Auction in order to boost their fundraising totals by filling out this auction donation form. The auction will be promoted by both CAN & Sportsnet 650 to tens of thousands of individuals from the autism community and sports fans alike.

Physical items can be brought to the CAN office for processing beginning in late July. Digital items (e.g. gift certificates) can be delivered at any time. 

The value of the winning bid for donated items will go to the tournament participant's fundraising total. Participants are required to fill out a submission form when submitting each auction item. Items must be in 'new' condition (exceptions for collector's items that are game-worn) and have a minimum value of $50.

All items must be submitted by Monday, September 29th at 4pm for inclusion in the auction. Items recieved after this deadline may not be included in the auction. The CAN Pro-Am team reserves the right to decline any proposed auction item at its sole discretion.

The auction will launch in early September and close on Wednesday October 15th at 9pm.

Fundraising Deadline: Wednesday, October 15, 9pm (PST)

Individual and team standings for incentive prizes and draft order will be locked two days before Draft Night.

You can still accept donations for the cause after the deadline, but they will not count towards your final total.

Best Weekend of The Year: Friday, October 17 to Sunday, October 19

Draft Night on Friday at the Westin Bayshore. Two-day tournament on Saturday and Sunday at the North Surrey Sport & Ice Complex.
