CAN Pro-Am Player Fundraising Page
Bob Shanks began fundraising for Canucks Autism Network (CAN) in 2012. Since then, he has become the most successful individual fundraiser in the organization's history.
In twelve years, Bob has single-handedly raised over $350,000 for the cause. In 2021, his incredible efforts were featured in The Province. The following year, CAN re-named their Boardroom in Bob's honour.
His motivation? As an adult on the autism spectrum, Bob seeks to help those who share his diagnosis.
"It's all for the kids," you'll often hear Bob say. "I tell people my story and how the money helps."
At the CAN Pro-Am, Bob has been the Top Individual Fundraiser for four straight years running from 2019-2022.
As the passionate coach and manager of Team Bob Shanks, he has drafted Canucks Alumni and West Coast Express legend Brendan Morrison all five years from 2019-2023.
For his unparalleled fundraising efforts, Bob has earned the respect and admiration of not just Morrison, but a host of NHL Alumni and the entire Canucks Autism Network community.
Will you help Bob reach his fundraising goal in 2024?
All proceeds will support CAN initiatives province-wide, including sports & rec, social, life skills, mental health and employment programs for kids, youth & adults on the autism spectrum.
